Tattoo
When we decorate our bodies, we say who we are as individuals. Skin is used to represent feelings, past experiences, beauty, bravery, protection, fertility, transformations, connections with other groups, with the group itself, identity. Used as a way to show the internal qualities, representing the abstract, bringing spirituality to the skin, connection with ancestral attitudes, worship with our origin and essence, or desires for the future. Body art is crucial for social, spiritual and personal expression. It is a way of putting the identity out and enhancing the beauty of each being.
Body Art
Love the interactions, rituals and conections that art can provide to us. Always a good reason to interact and express yourself.
This first picture, shows a project called "Sereia Urbana". In Portuguese "sereia" means mermaid, but if you separate de word "serei a urbana" means I will be urban. It's a way of playing with words and talk about the idea of diving in a urban space.
Here you can also see some experience with native Brazilians, ink, and festival paiting.
